ミントでセカンドライフ

wineでWindows用のFirestome Vewerを起動してみたところ、文字化けして読めないメッセージが出て起動できませんでしたので今度はLinux用のFirestome Vewerをインストール
やり方は説明が面倒なのでこちらのBlogさんを参考に。http://xenlonkeng.slmame.com/e1256822.html

su -
cd /tmp
cd Phoenix_Firestorm-Release_i686_4.6.5.40833
sudo bash ./install.sh

おそるおそるFirestome Vewerを起動したところ無事起動できました。
ところが、日本語でチャットができない。いや、それ以前に日本語入力できなかったので検索して

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install fcitx fcitx-mozc?fcitx-frontend-gtk2?fcitx-frontend-gtk3 fcitx-frontend-qt4 fcitx-frontend-qt5 fcitx-ui-classic fcitx-config-gtk mozc-utils-gui
im-config -n fcitx


再起動してFirestome Vewerを立ち上げたところ、Secondlifeのチャットでも日本語で発言できるようになりました。
めでたしめでたし。
